E-ellow Submarine

E-ellow Submarine

An Interdisciplinary Convergence Initiative dedicated to exploiting data generated during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In 2020, with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the E-ellow Submarine was formed. The E-ellow Submarine team consists of a total of 24 partners across Europe and the US. This e-submarine of thinkers and experts is leading a novel initiative to navigate the COVID-19 crisis, with the aim to revise guidelines to better manage and prepare for future major health crises. To do this, the team is exploring data across eight different research areas; climate change and pollution, nature and resilience, sex differences, animal surveillance, influenza vaccination, mobility, mortality, and COVID-19 science. Our involvement is in the sex differences research area, which aims to analyze data between men and women in regards to COVID-19 disease severity and death.
